欧洲招聘网(http://job.ouzhou.cc)2022年招聘资讯:

We are looking for 3 postdoctoral researchers who are interested in plasma catalysis (including hybrid plasma-electrocatalysis) for the synthesis of fuels and chemicals (e.g., CO2 hydrogenation, CH4activation, hydrogen production, ammonia synthesis, and biomass/plastics conversion) and would like to work in this emerging area under the supervision of Prof. Xin Tu. You are expected to have a PhD degree (or near completion) in chemical engineering, chemistry, material science, or closely related disciplines with strong experience and expertise in heterogeneous catalysis, plasma catalysis, or electrocatalysis for fuel/chemical synthesis. You are expected to demonstrate the capability to design and prepare advanced catalytic materials and should be familiar with a range of catalyst characterization techniques. Research experience in in situ catalyst characterization is highly desirable. You should have experience with writing and publishing high quality research papers in leading international journals. You are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability and desire to supervise PhD students and junior team members. You should be able to work independently and collaborate with a team of multidisciplinary researchers.

These posts are based in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Liverpool (UK) and will be available from 1stOct 2022. The contract is typically 18-24 months and might be extended. Salary ~£35k per annual. If you are interested in working with us, please send your CV to Prof. Xin Tu (xin.tu@liv.ac.uk).

Short bio of Prof. Tu

Xin Tu is Professor (Chair of Plasma Catalysis) in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Liverpool. He has been working for many years on interdisciplinary research at the interface of plasma science and chemical engineering directed towards environmental clean-up, fuel and chemical synthesis, and nuclear decommissioning. Significant efforts have been devoted to plasma-catalysis where the combination of non-thermal plasma and heterogeneous catalysis has been used as a promising and emerging low-temperature process for the oxidation of gas pollutants (e.g., VOCs and PAHs) in waste gas streams and for the conversion of carbon and nitrogen sources into value-added fuels and chemicals such as CH4 activation, CO2 conversion, H2production, nitrogen fixation, biomass/plastic conversion, and heavy oil cracking. Prof. Tu has published over 170 peer-reviewed papers in leading international journals including Nature Rev. Mater., JACS, JACS Au, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Appl. Catal. B and ACS Catal. He has also given over 60 invited talks at international conferences.
